Hayley Orrantia, an American singer-songwriter and actress. One of her most well-known characters is Erica Goldberg who stars in "The Goldbergs," an American comedy show. However, she's primarily a music lover. Music, according her, is first thing she enjoys. Her first time playing it at age nine. At 12 years old, the music she was playing took more serious form and she started training professionally. When she was 13, she started writing herself songs. The first album she released as a cover wasn't released until 14 years after. The music hasn't budged to the past ever since. Orrantia was raised in the USA, yet holds Hispanic origins. Although she spoke only English growing up and had never been to Mexico Orrantia is proud of her Hispanic heritage. To preserve the tradition, she's studied Spanish and composed songs in that language. "Hasta Verte" which is a song with Spanish lyrics which she recorded is an example. In the summer of 2011, Orrantia auditioned for the premiere season of The X Factor. Her YouTube video was picked and she received four "yeses" which is a vote, from the judges at The Seattle audition. The first time she was auditioning for soloist, she and three female vocalists were placed with three other singers for the last auditions of "Hollywood Week". They were eliminated during the fifth week of the live performance.
