Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford, is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who played lead guitar of the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics allowed them to be noticed within the world of rock. The band was not able to gain a lot of attention in The United States but earned huge popularity overseas especially in Japan. Ford embarked on a heavy-metal solo career after the band broke up in 1979. After taking lessons in singing, she launched her debut solo album, 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin"On The Edge'. Ford's albums were not very successful and she disappeared for several years. In 1988, she came back to the scene by releasing a dazzling album titled 'Lita. the single 'Kiss me Deadly' and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' both became big success. Unfortunately, her popularity was short-lived and she remained absent from the industry for several years. In 1995, she released 'Black' and 15 years later , she released 'Wicked. In 2016, her latest album, 'Time Capsule, was released. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend award.
